When you are
Distressed
When the just cry out, the Lord hears them, and from all
their distress he rescues them. ~Psalm 34:18~
When you pass through the water, I will be with you; in the
rivers you shall not drown. When you walk through fire, you shall not be
burned; the flames shall not consume you. ~Isaiah

Do not be surprised, beloved, that a trial by fire is occurring
in your midst. It is a test for you, but it should not catch you off guard.
Rejoice instead, in the measure that you share Christ’s sufferings. When his
glory is revealed, you will rejoice exultantly. ~1 Peter 4:12,13~
They that hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they
will soar as with eagle’s wings; They will run and not
grow weary, walk and not grow faint. ~Isaiah

Praise be God, the Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all consolation! He
